NUTRITION

Team members receive dedicated, wrestlingspecific strength and conditioning programming focused on explosive power, endurance, and injury prevention —periodized to peak at the right times throughout the season.

Nutritional coaching includes safe weightmanagement guidance and performance nutrition education for athletes and parents.

Exclusive Opportunities!

  • Camps & Clinics: Team members receive priority registration and exclusive invitations to camps, clinics, and training events — including opportunities not available to the general public.

  • Guest Coaches: Throughout the season, we bring in elite coaches and former competitors for specialized training sessions reserved for team members only.

  • College Wrestling Network: Coach Donny Whitted has built relationships with college coaches at all levels — from NJCAA to Division I. Athletes serious about wrestling in college will have access to his network, guidance on the recruiting process, and direct introductions to programs that fit their goals.

  • Exposure Events: We strategically select duals and competitions where college coaches are watching. This isn't just about winning — it's about getting seen by the right people.

Who we are looking for!

Whitted Trained National Dual Team is for serious wrestlers who are dedicated, motivated, and ready to compete at the highest level. This is not a recreational program — it's a commitment to excellence.

COMMITMENT EXPECTATIONS!

  • 80% Competition Commitment: Team members must commit to competing in at least 80% of the scheduled duals. Dual meets depend on full team participation —

every absence affects the entire team's score.

  • Practice Attendance: Consistent attendance at team practices is required. If you're not training together, you're not competing together.

  • Intensity Level: Practices are designed to push athletes beyond their comfort zone. This is elite-level training with elite-level expectations.

  • Time Commitment: Parents and wrestlers should understand this is a year-round commitment. Before signing up, make sure your family schedule can support the practice and competition calendar.

Code Of Conduct

Whitted Trained wrestlers represent our team at all times — on the mat, in the stands,

and online.

Sportsmanship:

Win or lose, athletes are expected to compete with integrity, shake hands, and

respect opponents, coaches, and officials.

Team First:

No individual is bigger than the team. Support your teammates at every

competition, not just your own matches.

Social Media:

Athletes and parents are expected to represent the team positively online. No

negative posts about teammates, opponents, coaches, or officials.

Zero Tolerance:

Bullying, disrespectful behavior, or conduct that reflects poorly on the team may

result in immediate dismissal without refund.

LEADERSHIP TEAM

Whitted Trained is built on the belief that a championship program requires more than great coaching. It requires professional leadership across every dimension - from mat instruction to business strategy to family engagement. Our leadership team brings together expertise in wrestling, business, operations, and community relationships to create a program that doesn't just win matches but thrives as an organization.

Parent Expectations

Parents are essential partners in building a championship culture.

Support All Athletes:

Cheer for every wrestler on the team, not just your own.

No Sideline Coaching:

Trust the coaches. Yelling instructions during matches creates confusion and undermines the athlete's development.

Positive Environment:

Keep conversations constructive. Address concerns directly with coaches in private, not in the stands or on group chats.

Volunteer Participation:

We're a team — parents may be asked to assist with logistics, setup, or other tasks at events.

Timely Communication:

Respond to team communications promptly and notify coaches of any schedule

conflicts as early as possible.

TRYOUT & SELECTION PROCESS

This is an invite-only team. Roster spots are limited and earned. Evaluation Criteria: Athletes are evaluated on skill level, coachability, attitude, and commitment. Talent alone is not enough — we're building a team, not a collection of individuals.

Roster Decisions: Final selections are made by the coaching staff. Decisions are finaland will not be discussed publicly.

Roster Adjustments: The team reserves the right to adjust the roster throughout theseason if commitment or conduct expectations are not met.

Travel Expenses

The $4300 annual fee covers entry fees, exclusive practices, semi-privates with Coach Donny & coaches, and competition gear. Travel expenses (transportation, lodging, meals) are the responsibility of each family and will vary based on event location and your travel preferences. We will work to keep travel as budget-friendly as possible andcommunicate costs in advance so families can plan accordingly.

Refund Policy

Before Season Start: Full refund minus a $200 administrative fee if withdrawal occursbefore the first practice.

After Season Start: No refunds once the season begins. Team fees cover fixed costs (facility, coaching, gear) that cannot be recovered.

Removal from Team: Athletes dismissed for conduct or commitment violations are not eligible for refunds.

Injury Exception: If a wrestler sustains a season-ending injury (with medicaldocumentation), a prorated credit may be applied toward the following season at the discretion of the coaching staff.

COMMUNICATION

Clear, timely communication keeps our team running smoothly.

Primary Platform: All team communication will be through Sports You and email. Parentsand athletes are expected to join and monitor regularly.

Response Time: Please respond to time-sensitive messages within 24 hours.

Schedule Changes: We'll provide as much notice as possible for schedule changes, butlast-minute adjustments can happen — flexibility is appreciated.

Direct Concerns: If you have questions or concerns, reach out to the coaching staff directly. Don't let small issues become big problems.

INJURY & MEDICAL PROTOCOL

Athlete safety is our top priority.

Medical Clearance: All athletes must have a current sports physical on file before participating in practices or competitions.

Injury Reporting: Any injury — no matter how minor it seems — must be reported to coaches immediately.

Return to Play: Athletes who miss practice or competition due to injury must provide written medical clearance before returning to full activity.

Season-Ending Injury: If a wrestler cannot continue due to injury, families should contactthe coaching staff to discuss options. See refund policy above for credit eligibility.
